​Casket is an oldschool death metal band, which was formed in NJ, circa 1994. The final lineup for that time period consisted of Josh Hammond on guitar and vocals, Rick Semuta on guitar, Steve Williams on bass, and Mike Chamberlin on drums. This lineup recorded one demo and played many shows in the NJ area in the early to mid-nineties. At that time, they had opened up for such extreme acts as Brutal Truth, Pungent Stench, Fear Factory, and Forbidden. They subsequently quietly dissolved around 1996.

Skip ahead now to 2011, where a chance meeting at former drummer Mike Chamberlin's Memorial Day BBQ spawns an alcohol fueled jam that makes it seem like Casket had never broken up. Josh and Rick go on to play in another project that does not suit their fancy. A suggestion to Josh  gets the creative juices flowing to push the idea over the cliff... CASKET IS REBORN!!!

The lineup now consists of Josh Hammond on guitar and vocals, Rick Semuta on guitar, Roberto Ramirez on bass, and Marvin Cardona on drums.

Casket has now played it's first show in 16 years in March 2013.
